The Gender Disparities Core includes Barbara McGrath, director, Nancy Woods, co-director, and a Community Advisory Board.
The goal of the Gender Disparities Core is to contribute to the reduction or elimination of gender disparities in health by supporting research that addresses the interplay of genetic and other biologic influences with socio-cultural determinants of women's health. Core services will include guiding and facilitating the use of appropriate research methods to study gender differences and gender disparities with an emphasis on cross-disciplinary, multi-methodology strategies, and the inclusion of community partnerships in the research process.
