The Administrative Core includes the Center Director, Margaret Heitkemper, Co-Director, Marcia Killien, and Manager Kendra Hayward. In addition, the Administrative Core includes two advisory bodies: The Executive Committee and the Scientific Advisory Committee.
The Executive Committee assists the Director in making scientific and administrative decisions related to the Center. The committee is composed of the Center Director and Co-Director (Heitkemper and Killien), and Core Directors and Co-Directors (Monica Jarrett, Carol Landis, Martha Lentz, Barbara McGrath, and Nancy Woods). Associate Dean for Research, Pamela Mitchell serves as an ex officio member.
The purpose of the Administrative Core is to manage the overall activities of the CWH&GR including coordination and integration of the Center's Cores and activities, managing and reviewing utilization of Center funds, disseminating the work of the Center, and ensuring that the scientific and programmatic goals of the Center are met. In addition, the Administrative Core will ensure that the CWH&GR's goals are met in a timely and high quality fashion and will strive to leverage resources to maximize the impact of the CWH&GR beyond its current scope. The Administrative core will award funds to Investigators as well as assist Investigators/ Affiliates to implement new research policies, and support Investigators/Affiliates efforts to disseminate their findings.
